One thing about farmhouse decor that seems to be consistent is farmhouse signs. Today I rounded up 11 DIY Farmhouse signs. This weekend I went to the Vintage Bazzar in Eliot Maine and let me tell you every time I turned a corner I saw more of these signs. They seemed to range from $35 upwards to $195 depending on the size. Yup the same signs I have been making in my basement for years. (On a side note I think I need to start selling signs). Well if you want to save some cash and put in the time I want to show you guys 11 signs that you could make next weekend.Read More

We are in the home stretch of the renovation! Now I didn’t love how the cabinets didn’t go to the ceiling and I just couldn’t get over it. I know there was something that could be done but I also knew that I didn’t know how to do it myself and neither did my dad. So I headed over to the hardware store. Now I just happen to have one worker there that is my go to. He’s in school to be craftsman (not sure if that’s the right term) but he always seems to know the answers instead of looking at me like I have 3 heads.Read More

Everything but the kitchen sink.... or so it seemed. I am elbows deep in my kitchen renovation and all I've ever wanted is a farmhouse sink but I was truly finding it to be problematic. See most farmhouse sinks require a custom cabinet that was made for the an apron front sink. No matter the research I was doing or trying to figure out my cabinet situation I was just having no luck. Not to mention farmhouse sinks can run you upwards of $1,200. So to keep this kitchen on budget and to keep my plans of painting the oak cabinets I turned to trusty old Ikea.Read More
