DIY Halloween Treat Bags with a Free Printable

Halloween Treat Bags Weekend Craft

A few weeks ago I shared these fun Halloween treat bags over at UnOriginal Mom. Today I wanted to share them with you guys as you are more than likely starting to stock pile your Halloween candy.

Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays. I must admit I was one of those older kids that may have been a little too old to be trick or treating. One of the things I always took note of as a kid was the Halloween treat bags my Mom put together each year. We used to get about a hundred trick or treaters at our house and she would have a bag for each child. She would even start prepping weeks before stocking up on candy when she found it on sale. Today I would love to share with you a free printable to make your treat bags stand out from your neighbors candy bowls.

I live with in walking distance from a Dollar Tree which can be a crafters dream. I have purchased treat bags from them in the past and they are great for the price. Fourty for $1.00 that should be enough for my neighborhood I hope. Just moving into this neighborhood only a month ago I will have to ask my neighbors what to expect on Halloween you never want to be that house that runs out of candy.

With the Trick or Treat Chevron Printable make sure to print it out on a white card stock and follow the edges to cut along the rectangle. I like to use my paper cutter since it is an easy rectangle. You could also use scissors or set this up as a print and cut file on your Silhouette.

Once you have the tags cut out simply fold them in half.

Fill the bags with your desired candy. My trick or treaters will be getting 3 fun size bars. Once the bag is stuffed fold over the cellophane top and add the tag. Now you can adhere the bag with tape or my recommendation would be to just staple it right on to the bag. How easy was that! I also plan on handing these out at work. Just as an extra treat since Halloween is a Friday this year.
