DIY HERSHEY’S KISSES Christmas Tree

This past weekend I had my first holiday party in my first home and I went all out with decor while keeping my budget in mind. Today I am going to share how I dressed up the dessert table with DIY Hershey’s Kisses Christmas Trees made with Hershey Kisses Kissmas Sweater Chocolates available exclusively at Walmart. 

The Hershey Company will offer several festive treats at Walmart this holiday season that will inspire new ways to deck the halls and trim the tree, including limited-edition “ugly sweater” foils on the classic Hershey’s Kisses Milk Chocolates, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups Miniatures in holiday foils, a three-pound Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bar, giant Hershey’s Kisses Milk Chocolates and a one-pound Reese’s Peanut Butter Santa, allowing you to make your season extra-merry. 

What you’ll need

• 25 Green Hershey’s Kissmas Sweater Kisses Chocolates
• 3 Red Hershey’s Kissmas Sweater Kisses Chocolates
• Handful of Blue Hershey’s Kissmas Sweater Kisses Chocolates
• Low Temp Hot Glue Gun**
• Thin cardboard
• Plastic knife
• Styrofoam Ball
• Small pail or container

Start by gluing together the bottom row of the tree, which will consist of 9 green Hershey’s Kisses Kissmas Sweater Chocolates. Glue them rotating right side up and upside down. Gluing the side of the foil. 

Start your next row which will be 2 Hershey’s Kisses Kissmas Sweater Chocolates short of the previous row. Do this until your last row only has one chocolate. 

Now let’s assemble your tree. Start with your longest row. Glue the flat tops (bottoms) of the chocolates tucking the tags into the glue. Quickly but carefully add the next row until the full Christmas tree is glued.

It’s starting to look like a Christmas tree! I love the patterns on the foil. They would be perfect for an ugly sweater party. 

A Christmas tree would just not look the same without a trunk. Glue 3 red Hershey’s Kisses Kissmas Sweater Chocolates together then glue them to the tree. 

Now you don’t want your tree to fall over in the middle of your party when someone bumps the table. Take a piece of thin cardboard or cardstock and trace your tree. Cut the shape smaller and hot glue it to the back of your tree. Then take a plastic knife that you have for the party and glue it 3/4 of the way up the tree. The tip of the knife should be facing down. Once that dries place the styrofoam ball into the small pail and insert the knife into the ball. Cover the ball with the remainder of your blue Hershey’s Kisses Kissmas Sweater Chocolates. 

This is such a cute project that only took minutes and really fit in with the rest of my holiday decor. I even still had a bag left that I used to fill a candy dish in my living room.
