Cheesy Mashed Potatoes
The easiest way to make cheesy mashed potatoes with sour cream. A creamy, decadent, filling side dish that will please a crowd!

- 2 lbs Yukon Gold Potatoes peeled and cubed
- 1/2 Cup Sour Cream
- 1/2 Cup Half and Half or Milk room temperature
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 1/2 cup shredded cheese
- 1/2 tbsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tbsp salt
- 1/4 tbsp pepper
In a large pot, cover potatoes with water and add a generous pinch of salt. Bring to a boil and cook until softened, 15 to 20 minutes.
Remove from heat and drain potatoes. Place back into the pot.
Add butter and mash potatoes. Gradually adding in sour cream, half and half, shredded cheese, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
Mash potatoes until smooth and enjoy!
