Maple Glazed Ham

This maple glazed ham recipe is the perfect combination of sweet and savory. Not only easy to prepare, but impressive enough to serve for a big holiday dinner. Great main dish for Christmas or Easter dinner.

Ingredients

  • 8 lb Spiral Ham
  • 1 cup Maple Syrup
  • 1/2 cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 3 tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • 2 tbsp Orange Zest
  • 1/4 cup Orange Juice fresh squeezed
  • 2 tbsp Rosemary chopped
  • 1/2 tbsp Black Pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  • In a bowl combine maple syrup, brown sugar, mustard, orange zest and juice in and whisk.
  • Line a roasting pan with aluminum foil and place room temperature ham cut side down.
  • Spread a third of the brown sugar maple glaze all over the surface of the ham and place in a 350º F degree preheated oven.
  • Baste the ham every 30 minutes with the remaining glaze.
  • When ham reaches an internal temp of 140ºF remove from oven and let rest for 10-15 minutes.

Notes

Bake ham 10 - 12 minutes per pound or until the internal temperature of the ham reaches 140ºF - remember, the ham is already fully cooked so it just needs to be reheated with an added burst of flavor.
