So if you don’t know I love me a for thrift score! You will find me pickin just about every weekend. So when Trisha from Black and White Obsessions and Brynne from The Gathered Home asked me to guest host on #ThriftScoreThursday how could I refuse?! I met these two gals at Haven Conference in Atlanta and Trisha is also a fellow Silhouette Challenger.

For those who don’t know Thrift Score Thursday is a instagram challenge to scour your second hand stores/garage sales and slap the hashtag #thriftscorethursday on your finds so we can all marvel at your killer purchases each week.

Stephanie from Sand Paper and Glue

My first pick is this upcycled gem from Stephanie over at Sandpaper and Glue. I love that she shows how a bulky end table from the 1980’s can be modernized and given a new life! This once wood colored and brass knobbed end table, that is probably in all of our basements or at our parents house, deserves a second life.

You can follow along Stephanies thrifting and pickin journeys on her instagram sandpaperglue or her blog.

Tanya from Dans le Lakehouse

So if you are new to Weekend Craft this may be new to you I love teal. I often use the hashtag #painteverythingteal because really we should paint everything teal! Now a few week’s back I was first introduced to Dans le Lakehouse when she guest hosted Thrift Score Thursday. She is a girl after my heart her instagram is filled with amazing vintage finds from rugs to kitchenware and cutlery.

Since I started getting into antiquing and thrifting I have found a love for pyrex especially if they are teal. I hope that one day I will have a wall as stunning as hers…a girl can dream! I better start pickin after I finish writing this.  Make sure you following along on instagram and Tanyas blog.

Weekend Craft’s finds.

A few weeks ago when I was at Brimfield (largest outdoor antique market) I stumbled upon this bar cart and instantly fell in love. I had recently signed a lease on a house and at that point I was only a couple weeks from moving in. All I could think about was my back deck and how this would be perfect for plants. I start to haggle the price tag said $40 but nothing at Brimfield is ever what it is marked. I ended up scoring this cart for $25! My thought was I would spray it teal and start getting plants.

Well on move in day I had a brilliant idea. Why not use the bar cart well as a bar cart?! Genius right? It didn’t even need to be painted although one day it may have a run in with some spray paint. Now I am on the prowl for a vintage decanter and shaker set!

Did you think the thriftscores stopped here?! Well they don’t! Hop on over and check out Trisha’s and Brynne’s picks and finds below.

    1. Thanks Stephanie! Loved your end table. Although I may have been swayed by the cute cat also 😉

  1. Oh girl, I’ve been on the lookout for a schmancy bar cart for ages now, so I’m totally jealous of your find this week! And the price, way to haggle girl! That drink dispenser is mighty fine as well!! Thanks for joining us this week, we loved having you!!

  2. I LOVE your bar cart, Michelle! Such an awesome find! I personally suck at haggling, but I guess I’d better work on my negotiating skills for some sweet deals like that 😉

    1. Right Cassie?! I am so in love. You’d have to pry it out of my cold dead hands lol. I can’t believe I was going to expose this baby to the elements and my plants.
