There is just something about the flavor combination of cranberry and orange that makes me think of Christmas. Today I am sharing my cranberry orange muffin recipe. It’s an easy recipe to make cranberry orange muffins from scratch.
While you can certainly make these muffins year round they are great to make around Christmas time for breakfast, brunch or host gifts. Also try my other favorite apple cinnamon muffins.

How to make cranberry orange muffins
To make these muffins, start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees. Line muffin tins with cup cake liners.
In a medium sized bowl mix together your dry ingredients of flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. One at a time add eggs and milk. Add melted butter, orange zest, juice and stir.
Using a silicone spatula fold in cranberries. Pour batter into muffin tins. I prefer muffin tins that bake 12 muffins at a time like this one. Tip: I like to use an ice cream scoop to add batter to the muffin liners. This will ensure even and uniform muffins.
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Let cool for a bit and enjoy!

Yes, you can freeze these muffins in an air tight container for 3 months.
Can you use frozen cranberries?
Fresh cranberries can nearly be impossible to find year round. Frozen cranberries work well. Do not thaw just add them to the batter and adjust baking time if needed.
Howdy, I’ve used craisins before. I pre-soak them in hot water for 30 minutes and then drain before adding them to the recipe.
Hope that helps some aspiring bakers.

I made these today and they are delicious!! Next time, I think I’ll raise the temp to 400 degrees for 18-20 mins to see if they will rise more. 🥰
