Halloween Mason Jar Mummy

Sharing is caring!

I am so excited to tell you guys that I joined up with a bunch of awesome bloggers to bring to you Mason Jar Crafts on the third Monday of every month. So this month’s theme is halloween and I have one of the easiest projects for you! A Halloween Mason Jar Mummy that you can make in under 5 minutes and for about $5.

Here’s what you’ll need:

Now I thought I was going to need tape to initially hold the gauze to the jar but the gauze I got was self adhesive so I tightly wrapped the gauze around the jar until it overlapped and adhered to itself.

Continue to wrap the whole jar until it is completely covered. I tried not to stay straight but to wrap the gauze diagonally at times.

Now you can get the googly eyes with the adhesive backs but I just picked these up in a multi pack for .99 cents. So I used double stick tape to stick them to the jar. Now after I was done I thought how cool would it be to overlap some of the gauze over the eyes like the mummy was peaking out. I think I might have to do that to my next one!

Mason jar crafts always seem to be a huge hit so I am excited to team up with 7 other bloggers to bring you this inagural edition of Mason Jar Monday with 8 Halloween theme jar projects!

  1. I love your little mummy jar! I made one with my kiddos this month and they made me put him away, said he was too spooky 🙁 I didn’t think to use the self-sticking gauze, that’s a great idea! Glad to be joining you for this hop.

  2. Who knew a mason jar could be so adorable? I think I’m going to try to make some of these with my nieces…thanks for sharing, Michelle!

  3. I do crafts with the grandkids a few you me’s throughout the year. This will definitely be one of our next projects!

  4. I think if you added a battery operated flicker candle into the jar after his wrapping (!) It would add an additional level of eerie cuteness!
