Christmas Table Setting and Decor
An easy idea for a Christmas table setting to fit right in with your Christmas decor.
With Christmas right around the corner I wanted to show you guys how I decorate my table for the holidays. Now this is a smaller Christmas tablescape since I am not hosting this year but I am having some friends over. We all know this is my favorite holiday so why not dress up the table for them?

I love to use what I have so for me that is mason jars but also clippings from my yard and some sprigs of red berries and pine cones from last years decor. So grab your kitchen sheers and go forage your yard or maybe even your basement. A beautiful table doesn’t need to be expensive. Tip: Fresh red berries can be expensive. I keep a pair of kitchen sheers in my car because they grow wild around here. If I can find them fresh you can bet I am pulling over on the side of the road.
Now the biggest impact you can make when designing your table is to pick up some chargers. Now chargers don’t need to be expensive these are from the Christmas Tree Shop and they tie in perfectly with the red napkins and the red berries. I use a dinner plate and a salad plate, tucking the napkin in under the salad plate. Place two sprigs of greenery or rosemary and a few sprigs of red berries. If you are having a larger dinner a place card could easily be incorporated.
To ground the plates and create some depth I used place mats underneath the plates. I really wanted the color story to be Christmas colors so I chose a neutral place mat. The tray in the center of the table contains the mercury glass vases, giving them height and complimenting the shape of the table.
When creating a centerpiece picking vases or objects with different heights gives the centerpiece more depth and visual interest. Now who wants to come over for a Christmas brunch?!
