Today I am talking about an easy way to take your holiday table decor to the next level with place cards. Whether you have a dinner party coming up or just your family coming for the holidays. Make them feel special with a personalized setting at the table. This is something that shouldn’t take more than a few minutes and you might have everything you need in your holiday decor already. We are making place cards out of ornaments and gift tags.

What You’ll Need

I used gift tags that I had on hand and actually decided to layer two of them together. On the more simple craft tag I used a sharpie to write my guests name.

Then I placed a more decorative gift tag on top of the other tag and tied them together with baker’s twine.

What I love about this simple project is that you could use different ornament at each place setting. Maybe even choosing the ornament with that person style in mind. If you want your guest to leave with a favor this could be a cute way of doing so.

My Christmas themes at my house always seem to incorporate birds so I love using a bird house ornament. Although it is quite large on the plate a whole table of these are just stunning.

If you want to go more traditional pick a round ornament which are very easy to buy in bulk if you’re having a lot of people over for dinner.

Now here’s the moment we have all been waiting for. What are the other party goers up to today? What type of gift tags did they make?! Make sure to check them all out.
