An easy recipe for an eggnog latte. The perfect holiday espresso drink. Make a Starbucks eggnog latte at home.
Holiday coffee drinks are my all time favorite. I used to count down the days until the Starbucks red cup came out. That meant it was officially time for holiday drinks! My favorite is always the eggnog latte.
Today I want to share how I make an eggnog latte at home. It’s even better than Starbucks because it uses real eggnog. It’s rich and creamy and you will want to enjoy it all Christmas.
Looking for a holiday cocktail? Try a Christmas margarita or an espresso martini. Don’t forget about Christmas dessert too, here are some of my favorites.

How to make Espresso at Home
Last year for Christmas I got the Breville Vertuo Nespresso and Aeroccino machine. Let me tell you guys it is very rare that I buy coffee rather than make it at home. I love that my Nespresso can make both coffee and espresso. My favorite of the Nespresso espresso is the double espresso scuro. This is a one touch machine. Just load your vertuo pod and press a button it’s as easy as that. The espresso is rich and frothy.
Don’t have an espresso maker? Grab an espresso roast and a french press. Two tablespoons of espresso to a cup of hot water. It won’t be frothy like when you make it in a machine but it’s very good and only takes a few minutes.
Don’t have a french press. Don’t worry brew some strong coffee like an espresso roast or a french roast and use that instead of espresso.
How to Froth Eggnog
I use an aeroccino machine. It’s an electric milk frother that heats milk in quickly to 160-170 degrees. You can get the Nespresso version here or a less expensive version here.
Don’t have an expensive machine don’t worry. You can heat your eggnog in the microwave or on the stove top. Add you milk to a mason jar and shake vigorously or throw it in the blender for 30 seconds.
Also these handheld frothers work great and they are under $10.
