Guys I am getting old. Well not to old to outgrow the myspace mirror selfie 😉 Or wait does the fact that I know what myspace is make me old! Anyways I am losing my vision. I’ve had glasses for about 15 years but I have never really worn them. On occasion I would have to put them on to read something from the back the room but other than that I could squint and make it out. In the last 3 years my vision has gotten worse. I got prescription sunglasses for driving and continued to ignore daily wear of glasses… until now. I was getting my license renewed a few weeks ago and had my vision test the dmv worker was like you didn’t fail the vision test but you should definitely go see your eye doctor. Womp womp.

So I did. Walking out of their with my new stronger prescription in hand. I had perused the glasses in the shop out front and left without buying anything. Glasses are expensive! Like really expensive. So I was talking to fellow four eyes Stephanie at Sandpaper & Glue and I had remembered she had gotten new glasses before our trip to Utah.

She had gotten her glasses at Firmoo. Which turned out to be very affordable and super cute.

I looked for a while trying to figure out which pair would be right for me. Even uploading my photo before ordering.

I had decided on a pair but when I went to order them I saw a different pair that had just been listed on Firmoo’s Daily New Section. Specifically I loved the way that this pair was tortoise but accented with the gold metal. I could see myself wearing these everyday.

So this is not a craft but I did want to share a look into my personal style. I also wanted to share because glasses don’t have to break the bank. In fact a lot of the glasses you will find on Firmoo are under $39. I might actually get another pair to switch it up a bit. If I have to wear glasses I might as well have fun with it.

Well if you have never ordered from Firmoo before I have a special discount for you. Click here to save 15% of your first pair of glasses. Enjoy!

Thanks so much to Firmoo for the new specs. This is a sponsored post but all opinions and stylish glasses choices are my own.

Sharing is caring!

  1. I love your new glasses! I’ve been wearing glasses since 5th grade! I’ll have to check out Firmoo. 🙂

  2. $39 for glasses! That’s awesome! Sorry you need to wear them – but you look really cute! Thanks for sharing. Tisa

  3. That tortoise shell is very chic, and I agree about pairing it with the gold metal….LOVE! I’ve had glasses since high school and I need to get a new pair soon (my husband says I still squint even when wearing my current specs….whoops!). I just need to get my lazy butt to the eye doctor for a new prescription….then I’ll have to check Firmoo out!

  4. As a person who broke her glasses by stepping on them over a year ago, and has not replaced them – this is awesome! I’m typing this on my iPhone wearing a pair of drugstore reading glasses that aren’t the right rx (yaaaay 40!)

  5. Don’t worry Michelle, I mentioned MySpace to my kids the other day and they had no clue what I was talking about. They said, "so, it was like a lame version of Facebook?". We didn’t talk the rest of the ride home, lol. I’ll have to check this site for the hubby, I’m always trying to bring him into the new fashion, so maybe we can grab a pair or two! Appreciate the link and review!

  6. Oh MySpace! Those were the days!! Your new glasses are so stylish! I wear contacts nearly every day, but would love a new pair of glasses for days when I’m just not in the mood for contacts. My old pair of glasses lost one of the nose pads a looooong time ago, so they’re not really wearable on a daily basis. I need to have my prescription updated, and then I am definitely checking out Firmoo!
