This is one of the easiest candies to make – perfect peanut and chocolate candy clusters straight out of your crockpot!
I love making homemade treats for the holiday season, and this crockpot candy is one of my favorite recipes. It’s a perfect homemade candy to include in your holiday cookie trays or to bring to your holiday parties. They make a great holiday gift to package up to give to neighbors, teachers or anyone on your holiday list.
Slow cooker candy is a great recipe to add to your easy dessert list during the craziness of the holiday season. These chocolate peanut clusters are a quick and easy recipe with a few simple ingredients that are a perfect treat for your special events or to add to your cookie tin. I like to make these for neighbor gifts or for coworkers.
This sweet treat is also a perfect recipe to add to your holiday baking list because of how versatile it is. You can make a large batch using the recipe and then customize each peanut cluster with different toppings sprinkled on top of the melted chocolate. Some of my favorite varieties are to add festive sprinkles, toffee bits, sea salt or even crushed up candy canes. Each option is an easy way to make one recipe into multiple treats that takes less time than making multiple recipes and will make it look like you’ve been baking for hours!
Looking for other sweet holiday treats? Try my peppermint chocolate chip cookie bars, chocolate peanut butter fudge, coconut fudge or rolo cookies.
Crockpot Candy Ingredients
- Peanuts– I like to use honey roasted peanuts because it adds a sweeter taste. Different nuts will produce different flavors so you can also try unsalted peanuts, dry-roasted peanuts, or a combination of any of them.
- Vanilla Almond Bark– A vanilla flavored candy coating similar to white chocolate or white candy melts.
- Chocolate Chips– Semi-sweet chocolate chips work best, but you could also use dark chocolate chips or milk chocolate chips.
- Bakers Chocolate– A chocolate that’s at least 60% cacao, you can usually find these in the baking aisle of any grocery store.
How to Make Crockpot Candy
- In the bowl of your crockpot add peanuts.
- Next layer in vanilla almond bark, chocolate chips, and bakers chocolate. Place the lid on the crockpot and set it to low heat, don’t stir yet!
- Cook on low heat for one hour. Remove the lid and stir the chocolate mixture. The ingredients have started to melt stir to combine. Every 10-15 minutes for the next hour stir the chocolate mixture until everything is coated.
- Line a baking sheet or sheet pan with a piece of parchment paper or wax paper. Using a small cookie scoop or a spoon, scoop heaping tablespoons of the mixture onto the prepared sheet. These crockpot peanut clusters are great as is, but if you’d like to further customize, while the chocolate is still wet sprinkle with any toppings you’d like. Refrigerate for 20 minutes or until fully set. Store the candy in an airtight container at room temperature.
