Summer is here and it’s time to start making some Summer cocktails. I was scrolling TikTok the other day and came across a new viral cocktail recipe for a Corona Sunrise drink or a Corona tequila sunrise. It’s an easy cocktail that you make in the corona bottle. Just like a tequila sunrise except you use Corona beer as the base.

Corona Sunrise Ingredients
- Corona
- Tequila
- Orange Juice
- Grenadine
- Lime Wedge
How to make a Corona sunrise drink?
Drink the Corona down to the label to allow room to add ingredients to the bottle. Add tequila this should fill to the start of the neck of the bottle. Then add orange juice halfway up the neck. Followed by a splash of grenadine.
Use your thumb to plug the top of the bottle. Tip upside down to mix all ingredients. Squeeze lime juice from the wedge into the bottle.
Corona Sunrise
Ingredients
- 1 Bottle of Corona
- 1.5 oz of Tequila
- 1.5 oz Orange Juice
- .5 oz of Grenadine
- 1 Lime Wedge
Instructions
- Sip your Corona down to the top of the label. This will allow room to add ingredients to your bottle.
- Fill to the neck of the bottle with tequila.
- Fill halfway up the neck of the bottle with orange juice.
- Add a splash of grenadine.
- Use your thumb to plug the top of the bottle. Tip upside down to mix all ingredients.
- Add a lime wedge and enjoy!

Do not shake beer.
Which type of corona should you use?
I used Corona light but you can also use Corona Extra. There are also mini bottles and you can half the recipe to make a smaller version. You could also use a Sol beer.
What type of beer is Corona?
Corona is a pale ale which is hop-forward with a malty flavor and a golden to amber color. Pale ales are light and full of flavor.
