The DreamCart from Create Room is a craft storage cart not only to organize your craft supplies but it also turns into a collapsable work table. Perfect for smaller craft rooms, homes or apartments.
The DreamCart 2 is the latest addition to my craft room. I needed some additional craft storage and another work table. It also compliments my DreamBox well.
When Create Room reached out and asked if I was interested in reviewing the new DreamCart 2 I immediately said yes. While my craft studio may be large it is truly lacking storage. Being a professional crafter and photographer I definitely fill up my storage fast.
I love that this pop-up desk can give my 5 feet or workspace or collapse and sit nicely against my wall out of the way.

What is a DreamCart?
A DreamCart is a piece of furniture designed for craft organization in mind. It contains 12 storage totes and a collapsable workspace or desk. When the DreamCart desk is fully extended it give you just shy of 60 inches of workspace. The DreamCart is also on lockable wheels and it can be moved in your space.
This piece is great as a stand alone in a smaller workspace or in addition to the DreamBox.

Assembly
Now my DreamCart sat in the box for a week before I decided to put it together. I was putting it off but let me tell you I put it together in under an hour and wish I did it sooner! The assembly was really easy and straight forward. All you need is a screwdriver or a drill. Everything else comes with the cart.
The two parts I had a bit difficulty with were understanding where to line up the table leg with the predrilled holes. I added a picture above the leg fits at an angle.
My second suggestion is that it can easily be built by one person but flipping it right side up or carrying the box is definitely a two person job. I built the DreamCart on a table which made it really easy to put together but I had to ask a friend to help me get it off the table with me.
How much does the DreamCart 2 Cost?
The DreamCart 2 is currently $499. That is $100 cheaper than the original DreamCart.

DreamCart Storage Totes
The DreamCart 2 comes with 12 plastic storage totes. The size of the totes are the same as the DreamBox totes. They hold up 12×12 card stock. Each drawer can hold up to 15 lbs.
What am I storing in my DreamCart. Right now I am storing mostly card stock, vinyl for my Cricut and some jewelry making supplies.
Want to make custom covers for your DreamBox totes? If you have a Cricut I have a free SVG file and tutorial on how to make them here. It’s really easy you will just need 12×12 card stock.
Initial Thoughts and Review of the DreamBox 2
Overall I really love the design and improvements CreateRoom has made with this new DreamCart. The price point does make this more of an investment piece but I think it’s a great storage and workspace solution for a crafter that maybe doesn’t have a dedicated space or has a smaller craft room.
Now I will say having it with my DreamBox I am using my DreamBox desk more. The L shaped desk allows me to spread out my projects which I wasn’t able to do before. Now I’ve only had this over a week so I will be sure to update you if my thoughts change at all as I use it more.
