It’s beginning to feel a lot like Spring! The nice weather is back (for now fingers crossed), the birds are chirping, the crocuses are popping up and moods are lifting as we get out of our winter funk. I couldn’t think of a better time to be inspired by spring. Here are some of my finds this week on Etsy! I hope you enjoy and discover some shops that you may not have stumbled upon before!

Last week’s kitchen post was such a success I was so happy to come back Part 2. If you missed last week’s post it was about how to paint your countertops to look like granite. Now with an updated counter the cabinets started to look a little worn and dated. Before even tackling the counters Jenny and Michael tried to update their kitchen simply by changing out their hardware but that was just the launching point for the whole project.
This weekend was the start of good weather and you know what that means?! It’s time to go yard saleing! This was the first weekend up in New England where we started to see the familiar homemade yard sale signs posted on telephone poles. My brother and I got up early on Saturday to drive around. If you don’t have the Yard Sale Treasure Map app on your phone you are missing out. It compiles all the yard sales listed on craigslist and puts it on an interactive map at your fingertips.
Every once in a while I just come across a shop that I instantaneously fall in love with. Remember the Wheatfield shop or Crimson Crane Studios? Well it has happened again with illustrator Geraldine Adams. She is an amazing Parisian style illustrator that lives in San Jose, CA. Whats not to love about art inspired by french cuisine & wine. Enough said. I hope you enjoy her unique style as much as I do.
My sister, Jenny, recently purchased her first home with her husband Michael. I was so excited for the two of them but I was also very excited to help fix up various rooms and to share the outcomes here!
Are you ready for this? Over the next three weeks we will bring you through their kitchen renovation for under $350. YES UNDER $350! You can give your kitchen an update without actually replacing your cabinets and counter tops. Let’s work with what you have with a budget that won’t leave you crippled with debt.
A few weeks ago I posted about a card swap I was participating in with the Silhouette Challenge. How it worked was I created 26 cards and mailed them to Kristy, from Please Excuse My CrafterMath, she sorted through all the cards and mailed back 26 handmade cards from other Silhouette Challenge members. How fun?! Right?!
The first day of April is just around the corner. Can you believe that? Easter is less than a month away so its time to start cranking out cards to send to my family and friends. This year I wanted to do something a little different. I have seen on the Silhouette online store some 3D cards so I figured why not give it a try. Now I don’t have much card making skills besides the card swap I participated in last month.
Let’s face it my Mac Book Pro has seen better days. This guy in the last 4+ years has been put through the ringer. He has trekked from Massachusetts to Georgia to France back to Georgia and then back to Massachusetts. He has also endured a year and a half of non stop use in grad school and the constant travel to my freelance clients. Sometimes he doesn’t even get turned off for months. So considering all of that I think I would be a little beat up and dirty too.
This is so exciting! Weekend Craft has been nominated for a Liebester Award by Glenna and Becky over at My Paper Craze! Now this is so exciting because a blog can only be nominated by fellow blogger to recognize small, up and coming blogs. Do you know what’s even more exciting?! Weekend Craft now gets to nominate 11 other blogs! How fun!
