Caramel apple cinnamon roll casserole may just be the best recipe I have made in a long time. Is it breakfast or is it dessert? It may just be both. Easy cinnamon roll casserole for a special occasion, holiday brunch or just a Saturday morning.

This recipe is easy with only 3 ingredients and it will have you coming back for seconds and even thirds. Cinnamon rolls are good but with just two more ingredients you can level up with a Fall breakfast casserole that the whole family will love. It’s very similar to a cinnamon roll monkey bread just without the bundt pan.

If you make one recipe this Fall let it be this one. It’s so delicious the gooey caramel bits, the tart sweetness of the apples and pillowy soft warm cinnamon rolls. I am salivating just thinking about it. Not only is it delicious but it will make your whole house smell amazing.

Homemade cinnamon rolls are great but they usually take hours to make. This caramel apple cinnamon roll casserole has only 3 ingredients! No egg mixture, custard or heavy cream needed.

  • Apple
  • Caramel Bits

How to make a cinnamon roll casserole?

Preheat oven to 350º F and grease a 13 x9 baking dish. Cut each cinnamon roll into 4 pieces using a knife or kitchen shears.

In a baking dish evenly layer the cinnamon roll pieces. Then add a layer of diced apples and top with caramel bits.

Bake at 350º F for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool for 5 minutes. Warm the icing in a microwave safe dish for 15 seconds and drizzle over the top of the cinnamon roll casserole. This dish is best served warm so the caramel is gooey. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 2 Packages of Cinnamon Roll Dough with Icing
  • 1 Diced Apple
  • 1/2 Cup of Caramel Bits

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 13 x9 baking dish
  2. Cut each cinnamon roll into 4 pieces. Layer the pieces evenly over the bottom of baking dish.
  3. Add a layer of diced apples.
  4. Top with caramel bits.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Cool for 5 minutes. Warm icing in a microwave safe dish for 15 seconds and drizzle over the top of the cinnamon roll bake. Enjoy!

Notes

This dish is best served warm so the caramel bits are gooey.

How to reheat

This casserole makes great leftovers. Just place a single serving on a microwavable plate and microwave for 30 seconds. It heats up fast. Leftovers are best served warm so the caramel gets soft again.

  1. Couldn’t find the caramel bits, so I used ice cream caramel in a jar and drizzled it over. Still amazing!!!! Whole pan was gone in about 15min… will bake double next time… Thankyou for sharing this great recipe
