What is Amish baked Oatmeal?
Amish baked oatmeal is an oatmeal casserole that is made with milk, eggs and yummy spices. Let’s face it making oatmeal in the microwave or stove top can give you a mushy consistency but baking oatmeal gives it more of a structure. It refines it. Heck I could eat this recipe for dessert. Add a dollop of whipped cream and you could trick your kids.
The best part of baked oatmeal? It stores well in the fridge and can be reheated. It’s the perfect breakfast to make ahead of time if you aren’t a morning person.
This recipe is with quick oats. Rolled oats will only work with more milk and a longer bake time. Baked Apple Oatmeal
