Baked feta with broccoli, lemon and onions is a creamy pasta dish that will have you going in for seconds. Tiktok baked feta pasta is an easy weeknight meal and a great alternative to alfredo sauce.

Broccoli Baked Feta Pasta

I have become addicted to the TikTok famous baked feta pasta. Now I don’t love tomatoes so I decided to make an alternative. I did my own spin on a broccoli alfredo by making a broccoli baked feta pasta. Let me tell you this might have been the best pasta I have ever made… and I’ve made a lot of pasta.

Broccoli Baked Feta Pasta

This pasta dish first went viral on TikTok. Essentially the original recipe just combines olive oil, cherry tomatoes, garlic and feta cheese. Baked in a dish and tossed with pasta. I am not the biggest fan of tomatoes. 

Growing up I loved Chicken, broccoli and ziti in an alfredo sauce. Now I decided to skip the chicken today but it could easily be added. I am not a fan of jarred alfredo sauce so baked feta is a great alternative. It’s creamy texture works great to coat the pasta and broccoli.

I love to add lemon zest and lemon juice to this recipe it brings a brightness to a heavier dish. The lemon isn’t too overpowering.

This is going to my new go to recipe for pasta any night of the week. I can wait to try more variations.

Which Feta cheese should I use?

Make sure to use a block of Feta. If you use crumbled feta it won’t melt as well. I used the Trader Joe’s authentic greek sheep’s milk feta in brine. Make sure you are getting a good quality feta.

Baked Feta Pasta with Mushroom and Spinach Ingredients

  • Pasta
  • Olive Oil
  • Broccoli
  • Onions
  • Lemon Juice
  • Lemon Zest
  • Feta 
  • Garlic 
  • Dried Basil
  • Thyme
  • Salt and Pepper

How to make broccoli baked feta pasta  

Preheat oven to 400. In a baking dish add olive oil. Toss with broccoli, onions, garlic, lemon zest and lemon juice. Add feta to the middle of the pan and top with olive oil, thyme, basil, salt and pepper. Bake for 30 minutes.

Make pasta according to directions on box then strain.

After 30 minutes turn oven up to 450 and bake for another 5 minutes.

Remove the baking dish from the oven and stir. Toss in the pasta and remaining olive oil. Make sure your pasta wis well coated.  Serve immediately. 

Yield: 5-6 Servings

Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 40 minutes
Total Time 45 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Pasta
  • 1/2 cup Olive Oil + 2 TBSP
  • 12 oz of Broccoli Florets
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Lemon, Zested and Juiced
  • 10 oz Block of Feta 
  • 2 TBSP of Minced Garlic 
  • 1 TSP of Dries Basil
  • 1 TSP of Thyme
  • Salt and Pepper

Instructions

    Preheat oven to 400. In a baking dish add olive oil. Toss with broccoli, onions, garlic, lemon zest and lemon juice.

    Add the feta in the middle of the pan top with olive oil, thyme, basil, salt and pepper. 

    Bake for 30 minutes.

Notes

Don't use crumbled Feta cheese. Chicken and other vegetables can be added to this recipe.

Can you use other cheese?

I’ve heard of people using goat cheese, Boursin cheese and Trader Joe’s spinach and artichoke dip. I haven’t tried this yet but I am definitely going to.

  • Bell Peppers
  • Zucchini
  • Butternut Squash
  • Shallots
  • Spinach

Looking for more protein? Top with grilled or baked chicken. Vegetarian? Cook up some tofu.

  1. I made this last night for the first time and it was delicious! I’m not a huge tomato fan either and this was perfect. Made two meals each for me and my boyfriend! Will definitely be making it again. I followed the recipe exactly.

  2. Made this tonight. I added some pasta water to help mix everything easier. I also used whole wheat pasta. Hubby really liked it.
